I have a requirement to capture SQLCODE of update spufi run through tep2.

We run an update query through DSNTEP2. If there are no rows to be updated, the SQLCODE is 100. If somehow we can capture this SQLCODE we can notify the user if no eligible row was found. Or if we could force the step to return RC=04 on sqlcode = 100, that will also serve the pupose.

Could you give some tip on this.

Thanks and Regards,
HemantAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18371456.post-1153992814019669142006-07-27T04:33:00.000-05:002006-07-27T04:33:00.000-05:00Hey Craig,just did a study on DSNTEP2 and DSNTEP4 ...Hey Craig,

just did a study on DSNTEP2 and DSNTEP4 on z/os, resulting in lot less in DB2 CPU time for DSNTEP4. Final elaps time was better for dsntep4 but not as spectacular as the in db2 cpu time.
There are some pmr's out there to consider to support hybrid join with multirow fetch and sync i/o performance issues.

Maybe a idea for you weblog.

Greetings from belgium.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
